Summer is Flying By!

Here we are in the middle of August and items #56 to #61. Starting with Garden Tools & Supplies. If you saw my blog post (Gardening with Lucinda Bailey) you probably received some very valuable information on Gardening but what about the tools need for gardening. Here are a few of my favorites:

Hoss Tools, out of Norman Park, GA is a small company manufacturing Gardening Seeders, Gardening Tools, Drip Irrigation, Double Wheel Hoes and so much more. A family run business that really have a great product line and I hope that you will check them out.

Another great American made item is from our friend Kevin of Rutsu. Rūtsu Hori Hori Combination Package - Hori Hori Knife, Rūtsu Hori Hori Sheath, Glove Keeper, Gardening Belt

This An easy way to celebrate your growing enjoyment! This set features the versatile hori hori garden knife, favorite tool of many gardeners, and a true workhorse for digging, weeding, planting, and just about everything else!

Hopefully, these two websites will get your gardening juices flowing as summer is in full swing. So many great items to check out. Let me know what you think about these!!

Item #57 Scissors, Fabric & Sewing Supplies (Singer Treadle Sewing Machine) I love to sew but lately, I just haven't had time. I have seen several of the Singer Treadle Sewing Machines over the past few years for about $300. Always check them out completely as they might have missing parts or plain don't work. Garage Sales, Antique Stores, Estate Sales are great places to check out if your looking for one. They are getting harder and harder to find, so if you see one that you like, please pick it up.

Fabric and lots of it! Another great item to pick up at Garage Sales, Estate Sales, Antique Stores and so forth. Buy what you like but buy in bulk! You never know when your going to need it. I love Vintage Bark Cloth. With patterns ranging from Art Deco, Western Cowboy, Space Age, Hawaiian Floral and so much more. I buy this fabric when ever I see it because it's made to last. Here are a few of my favorites!

Onto Item #58 Canned Fruit, Veggies, Soups and Stews. We can't wait to move into the new house so that we can hook up our Harvest Right Freeze Dryer. Were going to be canning, freeze-drying all of the Veggies, Fruit, Soups and Stew. Lately, I have really loved the African Peanut Soup. Have you tried it?? Head out to your orchard, use your Hoss Tools  Over-the-Shoulder Harvesting Bucket and get picking. No orchard, No Problem! The farmers Markets all over the country are great places to visit. Head out to your local you pick Blueberries, Peaches, Strawberries and so much more. Stock up and save for future uses. Here's our Freeze Dryer!

Bleach is the next item #59 on my list of 100 Essentials. We purchase this is large quantities because of the many uses that it has. Cleaning and Sanitizing to name a few. Stock up now and save as Bleach is very affordable.

Item #60 Canning Supplies (Jars, Lids, Strainers, Pressure Cookers, Wax and Liquid Parafin). Here is where I order my supplies and I prefer Made In America products over anything else. Click on the picture and see all of the products they have to offer!
